Actually, a little bit of innovation can go a long way if the budget is tight. We should always comparison shop and try to get fantastic bargains at markets and jumble sales.
Also, start from seedlings is cheaper than buying a big plant. Better still, get some leaf or root cuttings from friends or neighbors to save on seed money.
Old sinks, watering cans, buckets and wooden crates make great plant containers – just be sure to drill some holes in the bottom for drainage.
